Dance Guidance

To Guide…

The landscapes of dance are vast and beautiful, offering endless possibilities to explore. Imagine valleys filled with wildflowers, rivers winding through forests, and waterfalls cascading from great heights—each element an invitation to discover movement in its own time.

As a dance guide, my role isn’t to direct every step or shorten the journey. Instead, I aim to be like the riverbank: gently shaping and supporting your natural flow, helping you find the right paths when the time, weather, and lighting align with your personal growth. Together, we will explore these landscapes with curiosity & openness, trusting the journey as it unfolds.

What to expect in a 1:1 session

I work with you 1:1, or as a couple, to help uncover the most authentic version of your movement-self!

We will dance on land, in nature & maybe even in water in some or all of the following ways:

  • Have you lost level of desired connection with your body or partner: movement, sensuality, intuition even? Embodiment coaching sessions hold space and offer somatic tools to reconnect you with your body and help to establish a regular, joy-filled movement practice that is truly a pleasure to embody.

  • Do you feel that dance has been lost to your life? Do you want or need it back? Through our sessions, we will explore reclamation of dance through games, concepts and moving together.

These sessions are not about teaching specific skills or aesthetics: they are about finding intrinsic joy and pleasure within movement, and discovering ease in our body practice.

  • Do you have an existing dance or movement practice, and want to take it deeper? In these sessions we will explore more detailed landscapes of movement and rhythm. I offer exploration-based tools in the following styles and modalities:

    • Momentum tools & Soft Acrobatics: from Breaking, Capoeira, Tricking & Contemporary Floorwork

    • Rhythm & groove: connecting with music

    • Concept work: explore more advanced concepts from the worlds of Street Dance, Martial Arts and Partnering styles

  • Are you a dance/movement professional, therapist or someone who holds space for others? Are you looking to expand your practice, grow as a facilitator or find new somatic tools to offer your clients?

I ally with professionals from many background to bring the power of embodiment into their offerings.

Alex takes great care to make sure people are comfortable as they embark on their sometimes emotional journeys of self discovery through movement. No matter the age or ability, he's made it easy for people from various backgrounds to come together and share in vulnerability through his genuinely open, respectful, and light-hearted nature.
